This site is a database all about movies. It provides up-to-date information about movies, actors and actresses, directors, producers, reviews, fan sites, etc. It also offers several interactive features like message boards, movie show times, full episodes of certain TV shows, and a resume-building feature. Imdb.com is owned and operated by Amazon.com.

Kingston Beat Productions

Kingston Beat Productions is one of the few music promoters in Central New York. It specializes in Jamaican music but really this site is a place to advertise for all types of concerts. Information in posts includes band name, date, time, and venue for the show, price of entry, contact phone number, and hometown of the band.

Syracuse Convention and Visitors Bureau Events Calendar

This is the official site of the Syracuse Convention and Visitors Bureau. It is a comprehensive list of events happening in the Syracuse area now and in the future. The events listed on the calendar cover festivals, concerts, art exhibits, theater productions, and other entertainment passing through the area. This site also gives descriptions of nearby towns, features a detailed map of the region, and gives visitors tips on how to save money.

This is the on-line companion to the weekly entertainment newspaper in Syracuse. It provides a very detailed monthly schedule of Syracuse-area events. It touches on most types of entertainment: bars and clubs, restaurants, films, concerts, plays, outdoor events, clubs, classes, and many other events. This is a good resource for story ideas because there are many events listed for every day of the week complete with time of day and contact information. There are also blog-type sections where there may be some story ideas hiding.
