The company began in Pleasantville, N.Y. and seeks to help citizens connect by providing a community website where citizens can post events and information. Most helpful for story ideas is the calendar of religion and spirituality.

This is a well-recognized magazine journalism websites on spirituality, faith, and religion. It’s independent, written by journalists and is not affiliated with any denomination. It offers information on all the well-known faith traditions as well as most of the less-recognized ones. For each, you can find out about the founders, history, tenets and activities of that tradition.

InterFaith Works

This is a Syracuse-area group that works with all the religious groups in the area, supports a community-wide dialogue on race, resettles refugees, provides chaplain services in hospitals, and conducts programs on interfaith dialogue. Most helpful is the search page for any faith community in the area.

This is the website for a Skaneateles woman, Cindy Griffin, who does psychic readings, offers counseling and markets products. It has information on psychic fairs in Central New York and can be helpful for stories on psychics.

It’s well-respected, run by journalists, independent of any religious group and owned by Advance Publications/Newhouse News Service This website provides objective coverage about religion and current issues.
